A shooting outside of a hookah bar in Fayetteville, North Carolina left one person dead and four others injured. Authorities responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of the V Luxx Hookah Lounge. One person is in critical condition and three victims sustained minor injuries. The shooting allegedly escalated from an altercation inside the hookah lounge.

Two arrested, one at large in connection with deadly drug-facilitated gay nightclub assaults

Two suspects have been arrested and police are seeking a third in connection with the deaths of two men who were drugged and assaulted at gay nightclubs in New York City. The two suspects currently in custody have been charged with several crimes, including murder and robbery. The victims' deaths were part of a pattern of robberies that occurred in and around Manhattan clubs between September 2021 and August 2022, with at least 43 incidents of drugging and seven fatal overdoses linked to these crimes. Although the initial incidents involved gay bars, the pattern includes both straight and gay bars and victims of all sexual orientations.

The lawsuit claims that all of the defendants knew the boy had a history of random violence at school and home but did nothing about it. Zwerner is asking for 40 million in compensatory damages for permanent bodily injuries, physical pain, mental anguish, and lost earnings.
